Lindsay is the Director of Community Programs for Alliance for a Green Economy (AGREE) and the Campaign Director for HeatSmart CNY. She comes to AGREE after fifteen years of working on behalf of the Onondaga Nation and others on a variety of environmental justice issues in Central New York, including the successful campaign to prevent fracking from decimating our lands, waters, and communities. This and her experience gutting and rehabbing a 150 year old derelict property and bringing it up to modern energy code inform her commitment to helping people learn about and access the programs and knowledge that will allow our community to both adapt to and mitigate climate change.
Marian is the Director at the Center for Sustainability and the Environment. She is a member of our Steering Committee and assists in the planning of campaign events. She brings an extensive background in renewable energy work, published research, and a passion for sustainability to our team.
A resident heat pump expert, John has over 7 years experience in designing them! He operates a geothermal system at his own home and helps our campaign with outreach, case study development, and selecting installers; just to name a few ways John brings his experience to our campaign.
William is a geothermal homeowner who frequently publishes research around climate change and renewable energy. He is an adjunct professor who serves on our Steering Committee, assists with outreach, case study development and installer selection.
Josh is passionate about resilient construction, city and urban design, and green building. He brings these interests and experiences to our team as a member of our Steering Committee.
Dick serves on our Steering, Outreach, and Installer Selection Committees as well as being a Home Energy Coach. With over 30 years experience as a retrofit insulation and home performance contractor, he brings his expertise to training and presentations for the HeatSmart CNY campaign.
Brendon is a member of both our Steering and Installer Selection Committees. He brings a plethora of experience and knowledge to the campaign, including experience as a BPI certified energy auditor, CEEP advisor, and certified solar installer.
Sally serves on our Steering Committee, bringing her passion for advocating for low income residents of Onondaga and Oswego counties to our efforts for equal distribution of climate resources like heat pumps. She has over 20 years of employment experience in the Energy Reduction field and worked to develop Energy Reduction Plans for homes and apartment buildings.
Amanda serves on our Steering Committee and assists the campaign with municipal outreach. She works as a Senior Planner for the CNY Regional Planning and runs the Clean Energy Communities program for CNY.
Ellyn is a member of our Steering Committee who also assists our campaign with outreach and event planning. She is a member of the community who brings a passion for sustainability to her work with us.
Tom assists our campaign with workforce development in addition to serving on our Steering Committee. He created Air & Water Source Group and aides in outreach to our installer partners as well as hosting installer trainings.
Andrew helps in outreach efforts and serves on our Steering Committee. He is also a HeatSmart CNY enrollee who aids in event planning and hosts open houses of his geothermal home.
Ashley serves as an Intern for our campaign while she studies at SUNY-ESF. She is dedicated to energy justice advocacy and a skilled community outreach coordinator.
Barbara assists with outreach in Cayuga and Cortland county outreach as well as serving on our Steering Committee. She is a Clean Energy Advisor for the Cortland County Cornell Cooperative Extension and has nearly 30 years experience in community education.
Pete is the founder of Citizens Climate Awareness and Action. He serves on our Steering Committee and specializes in communications and outreach as well as driving engagement and action on renewable energy.
Chris is the Energy Program Manager for the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board, a public agency which serves Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga and Oswego counties. Chris has more than 25 years of experience in environmental planning and community development and provides technical assistance to municipalities, businesses, and individuals to reduce their carbon footprint through the installation of clean energy technology.
