HeatSmart CNY in the time of COVID-19

To do our part to help minimize the COVID-19 pandemic, HeatSmart CNY has transitioned our educational offerings online. Our installer partners stopped doing on-site work other than emergency repairs during PAUSE, but are now allowed to get back to work.

From NYSERDA:

The Phase I ‘Construction’ category and sub-categories, as defined under NY Forward, will be permitted to restart work in a region that is open for Phase I. As a part of the NY Forward effort, and pursuant to Executive Order 202.31, all clean energy construction activities will need to follow the Interim Guidance for Construction Activities during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency put out by the Department of Health (DOH), and also adhere to the information included in the FAQ on NY Forward and Business Reopening maintained by ESD.

The installers are also adapting by limiting contact with virtual assessments to provide preliminary quotes.

We’re helping to #FlattenTheCurve

We are instead scheduling a webinars and online meetings about heat pumps, with Q&A with installers, and real-life experience from HeatSmart CNY participants. We will also be sending more informative emails.  Installers are able to work with homeowners to explore options for their homes via online methods as well.
